Haynesville/Bossier Shales

ABOUT THE HAYNESVILLE/BOSSIER SHALES

The Haynesville/Bossier Shale, is a geological formation located in East Texas and Western Louisiana that produces hydrocarbons and has the ability to produce large amounts of NatuRig Countral Gas if treated properly. The difference between the Haynesville and Bossier Shales is that the Bossier lies directly below the Cotton Valley sandstones but lies right above the Haynesville.

Even though geologists estimated that there is more than 35 trillion cubic feet of natural gas located in the Shale Play, royalty payments on mineral rights have not produced as highly as expected and rig counts as well as production are declining throughout the play as a whole.
